Key Qualifications

  • At least two years-experience working in cyber threat intelligence or a relevant adjacent sector.
  • Post-graduate degree in computer science, cyber threat intelligence, or relevant IT certifications preferred.
  • Additional languages, particularly Arabic, Russian or Mandarin highly desirable.
  • Based in the UK and happy to work remotely.

Description

Cyjax is recruiting a Senior Security Researcher to join the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team. The successful candidate will produce independent research for the Cyjax CTI platform and be the account lead for multiple enterprise clients. As a senior member of the CTI team, the individual will require a technical background and experience working in intelligence. They will be expected to produce content of the highest standard, help influence the development of Cyjax’s CTI programme and train junior team members. – Identify cyber threats, trends, and new developments by analysing raw intelligence and data which includes geopolitical and transnational events/issues.

– Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to produce sophisticated analysis, findings, and responses which address current or emerging risks to the clients.

– Work with various intelligence collection and reporting tools and frameworks to produce reports.

– Assist with ad-hoc research requests from clients with minimal supervision.

– Conduct briefings as needed for a variety of levels of customers as requested. Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

– Act as account lead for multiple enterprise clients and be comfortable providing ad hoc training and assistance as required.

– Suggest improvements to the Cyjax CTI platform and processes based on feedback from clients and other market research.

– Assist in evaluating and refining the quality of cyber-threat intelligence collection and analysis processes.

– Spearhead independent research efforts and contribute to ongoing research projects across multiple teams to support public and private sector clients and marketing efforts.

– Help adjust operational processes based on client intelligence requirements.

– Mentor junior researchers in analytical tradecraft and intelligence writing and standards.

– Aid in the crafting of tactical and strategic research priorities.

– Assist in maintaining, populating, and evaluating intelligence databases and sources.

– Issue advisories on critical threats and vulnerabilities.

Education & Experience

  • Post-graduate degree in computer science, cyber threat intelligence, or relevant IT certifications preferred.
