How an effective threat intelligence programme creates business value

Cyberattacks are the everyday reality of organisations being online. Today’s attackers range from low-skilled but entrepreneurial cybercriminals to formidable nation-state actors who are well-resourced, skilled, and patient, aggressively targeting your intellectual property. The damage inflicted by financially motivated cybercriminals can be terminal for organisations hit by the latest trend of data theft prior to a ransomware encryption event. Having the intelligence to prepare effectively for these threats is potentially the difference between survival and the end of the road for your business.

Where to start

Where to start

Creating a threat intelligence program is simple. It requires two things: the skillset of a cyber threat analyst and information feeds. The majority of these feeds are both readily available and inexpensive. The goal of a threat intelligence program with a Cyjax-trained analyst is:

  1. Understand your organisation’s threat landscape and attack surface.
  2. Anticipate and identify targeted cyberattacks before they impact your organisation.
  3. Provide your organisation with the ability to respond quickly and decisively to counter a serious cyberattack.
